What a great week…right?! This next week might be a little slow though, because of Christmas – we shall see. You might want to check out the above blogs because they have other cool giveaways going on, some of them lower entry.
I want to give a couple of tips to any of my blogger friends that may be reading this – I really do understand both sides of the blogger/sweeper relationship – I can not stress enough how important it is to put a link to the contest (or at least your blog) in your email. You spend all this time promoting your giveaway – get the most out of it. That includes the excited winner telling everyone that they won at your blog. A lot of times they don’t spread it around, but if you do not link your blog in your email, the winner will definitely not spread the word. One blogger above missed out on getting a free link on my blog because they did not put it in their email. I don’t tell bloggers I do this – so that blog will never know they missed out on a golden opportunity.
Also, make sure your congrats email sounds like a congrats email. I use the same email every time I email a winner, I just change out the info. Here is one email I got for one of the above giveaways I won,
Hi you won my giveaway please send me your address so she can contact the company ty
That was all…. These type of emails to your winners make them feel like you don’t care.
Here is an example of what I send out – not that it is the best thing ever, but it is the type of email I would want to get as a winner,
Subject line : CONGRATS – You are a Just a Dash of Geek winner!!!
Congrats!!! You are the winner of the Review Prize Pack ( http://justadashofgeek.com/review-prize-pack/ ). Please respond to this email within 48 hours with your shipping information. If I do not hear a response within 48 hours I will have to choose another winner.Thank you so much for visiting, reading and entering at Just a Dash of Geek. We have more giveaways planned for the future – So stay tuned – Same Bat time Same Bat channel!Natasha Dythia
This is an actual email I sent to a winner. The next giveaway I have, I will copy and paste the wording into an email and change out the prize, the link to the original giveaway post, and what info I need from them (if it needs to be changed). I am not saying I, or my method is perfect, but I do think my method is a little more exciting and in-depth about what they won. You can even add your social networks if you want. I think I may do that in the future because it is so much easier to find the Facebook page of the blog, and leave a nice “I received your prize” on their Facebook page if it is included in the original email.
Alright, enough complaining/tips 
On to this weeks cool giveaways. This week, no one asked for anything specific – but I found an AWESOME giveaway hop. 3rd Annual Mid-Winters Eve Giveaway . 157 blogs are involved in this hop!!! Each blog has a giveaway. This is a book readers giveaway hop, so if you are a book lover you will REALLY love this hop. Some of the blogs giveaway specific books, either they are hosting a giveaway for an author or they are the author. But a lot of the blogs are giving away Amazon GC, Barnes and Noble GC, or The Book Depository GCs. One blog, I don’t remember which one, is giving away a Kindle!
Most of these giveaways are a one time entry (no daily entry), but some do have a daily entry. A lot of these are also low entry giveaways – specially for some of the giveaways that give away a specific book. 157 blogs are a lot to go through, took me 2 hours, but you have until December 27th, 2012 to get them all done. My suggestion is to start at the bottom of the blog hop list and work your way up. My reason for this is, most people start at #1 and get distracted by the middle and forget to come back…. so the bottom of a blog hop list has a better chance of having less entries (unless it is an awesome prize or a popular blog).

I won a cute Glade candle thing (from Glade) that I didn’t even know I won until it came in the mail, 2 sets of movie tickets from 2 different large company giveaways, a set of random toys from a small toy store and a $25 gift certificate to Goat Milk Stuff.
I’m expecting a slow week for wins because I’ve been sick and laid up in bed for several days. I’ll get back in it soon though.

It is always fun to get the surprise mail. And I bet the movie tickets will be awesome for date night!!! Toys are always great for the kiddo – my son has had most of his birthdays taken care of by giveaway wins. I have been trying to win Goats Milk Stuff GC, please let me know if you like their product…it sounds awesome – but you never know until you try it. I hope you feel better soon! I know I dont feel like entering giveaways when I am sick!

I purchased 2 loofa soaps and a soy candle. 1 loofa soap for me and the rest of the stuff for my mom for Christmas. I really like how my skin feels after I use it but not sure if that is a result of the soap purely or it with the loofa. I would still recommend the products to anyone though.
