Geek Girl Dythia’s new favorite shows

So I have decided that this fall/spring season on TV have had the best new shows. I am in love with Go On, Guys with Kids, and The Neighbors. All three are excellent 30 minute comedy shows. I was very disappointed with Revolution and 666 Park Avenue. I could only stomach a few episodes of each. I really wanted to like 666 Park Avenue, but the story just didn’t rivet me to come back week after week. Revolution had huge plot holes and I just couldn’t connect with any of the characters, so my interest on that show died. Beauty and the Beast was a bust for me, but I do love Arrow. Arrow is based on the comic book hero the Green Arrow….they have taken an old story and twisted it in  a way that draws me in.

As far as shows on their second season or more – I am still in LOVE with Once Upon a Time. Every week they leave me begging for more.  Raising Hope is a gem of a 30 minute comedy show. The story is well written and it is actually funny. Glee is a guilty pleasure of mine, however this season has left me not really caring about the cast. Some of the stories are still alright, but I just don’t see and feel the dynamic with the new cast, as I did with the old.

Well, I just wanted to give you guys an update on what I thought of the new shows. If you get a chance, turn on your satellite tv, and get to watching some of this seasons new shows.

Arrow is an great show and has made me want to get back into archery. The only other new show besides Arrow that I am still watching is the new TMNT, it really surprised me. I didn’t like the promos they showed for it, but it is a great show! Rob Paulsen is great as Donatello, almost better than his Raphael from the original series.

I’m still am enjoying Once Upon A Time alot. As well as The Walking Dead, Archer, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Comic Book Men.

The Walking Dead YES YES YES – Cant believe I spaced that one….probably because it is on break LOL! I havent see Comic book men but I have it in my Netflix Que.

TMNT actually surprised me as well. I didnt like the art at first and now I love it. I also like the way they slightly twisted things…like the Krangs.

You are an archer – That is so cool!!!

    Hi lady:

Great post. I don’t watch a lot of TV, but what I do watch I am a tad obsessed with. I LOVE Once Upon a Time, I also watch Psych(oddball humor), It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I also like Arrow, and I am still obsessed with Castle(It may be the Nathan Fillion/Firefly/Serenity factor there, but I dig it).

Hi :) I haven’t seen Castle yet…I wont start a show unless I can start at episode #1 (OCD I KNOW) but I do LOVE Psych! And I just started watch It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia…it gets much funnier in season 2 when Danny Devito joins on.

My wife and I both love watching Once Upon a Time and Walking Dead. That’s actually the best part of the week, Sunday night, when the shows are on back to back!

I haven’t had a chance to catch Arrow yet, but I hear it’s pretty good.
